Monday November 2 is a public holiday (All Saints' Day moves to the Monday), so Saturday October 31 to Monday November 2 is a three-day weekend that starts on Halloween. The night itself has a 90s dance concert at the baseball diamond in the Atanasio Girardot complex, inside Laureles-Estadio, and a two-night electronic festival at Parque Norte. Before that, a night of Caribbean music at the Teatro Metropolitano on the 24th, and the usual free salsa and car-free Sunday mornings. The next long weekend is November 14 to 16.

The second edition of an open-air night of Caribbean and coastal music, part of the city's Temporada Cultural: Patacoré, Joche Álvarez y los Gaiteros de Ovejas, Jorge Vergel, Iván Zuleta and Banco Largo. Tickets from 55.000.
Claustro Comfama San Ignacio, Patio Teatro Free entry
Free salsa with a live band, Orquesta Idiosincrasia, on Sunday afternoons from 3 to 5. New this season: you need to register once in advance on Comfama's site, and that registration covers every Sunday.
Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Girardot, outer ring Free entry
The roads around the stadium complex close to cars from 7 am to 1 pm and fill with bikes, runners and skaters. It is the closest ciclovía to Laureles: walk over, rent a bike at an EnCicla station or just jog the loop.
Diamante de Béisbol Luis Alberto Villegas, Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Girardot
The 90s dance-floor names, live: Haddaway, Jenny Berggren of Ace of Base, Real McCoy, No Mercy, Technotronic and Black Box's Charvoni. It is inside Laureles-Estadio, so you can walk there and walk back. Tickets from 168.000. Expect the Estadio Metro station and the roads around the complex to be busy that night.
Parque Norte
House, techno and progressive over the first two nights of the long weekend, with Oliver Heldens, WhoMadeWho, Paul van Dyk and Dubfire on the bill. Tickets through Tuboleta, from 340.000. From Laureles, Metro line A north to Universidad station.
Claustro Comfama San Ignacio, Patio Teatro
The Wizard of Oz on stage, part of Comfama's San Ignacio theatre festival. A Halloween plan for anyone travelling with children. Tickets 58.850.
Segundo Parque · Laureles
A paisa house a few steps from Segundo Parque, where we went for lunch and could not finish. Empanaditas de iglesia and morcilla to start, then the bandeja paisa and the fiambre, rice and meat steamed inside a banana leaf. Painted windows, coloured floor tiles, straw hats on the walls. A good way to eat before a long weekend, and they serve breakfast too.
